Collection 2

This collection is inspired by the symbols used by the Turkmens every day. The amulets made of triangular and rectangular fabric they use, in their old beliefs, hide them from the evil eye. Eye shapes keep them away from the evil eye in their fabrics and dress embroidery as talismans. The pied yarn also has this function as a symbol, and the Turkmen people still carry these symbols and have a little faith. In these paintings, amulets and fabrics were used directly in the work. I had the amulets specially made by my mother and other neighboring women and used them in these works. In other words, Turkmen women also have a share in these works. I wanted to bring these works closer to the decorative feature of Turkmen stitches and carpets, but I considered the symbolism also.
