I graduated from my master's degree in 2015 and I am working on fabric craft.
I was selected as an artist for the 2020 Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C.Competition and had an exhibition in U.S.A
I was selected as an artist for the 2019 KCDF (Korea Craft Design Foundation)Competition and had a private exhibition.
I use various textile materials such as thread, wire mesh, and paper mulberry fiber to make modern jewelry and fiber artwork.
I study new materials and techniques through the every exhibition opportunities.
Recently, I introduced modern jewelry and fabric artwork using paper mulberry fiber, pigmented lacquer and gold foil traditional materials containing Korean sentiments.
I think of the meaning of the cycle of nature in every process, from the prepare of boiling and grinding the paper mulberry to the completion of the work.
The process of disassembling all the mulberry tissue, decaying the original form and life, then recreating it into a new form, give me a profound realization of human life in the circulatory order of nature.
