"Broken Pieces 1.", is part of a small series, inspired by "Kintsugi", the Japanese method for repairing broken ceramics. The philosophy behind the technique is to recognize the history of the object and to visibly incorporate the repair into the new piece instead of disguising it.
To me, this means that I would like to emphasise that we love in a throw-away society, with too many cheaply produced goods, and too easliy replaced.
